Green and Resilient Building Lead, Ghana - Worls Bank Group

Paul Kwesi Ocran is a green building specialist with over a decade of experience advancing sustainable construction across Africa. He is the Green and Resilient Building Program Lead in West Africa at the World Bank. He has supported certification of more than 3 million m² of green floor area. Paul advises real estate developers and financial institutions on green finance, sustainability-linked investments, and climate-smart project development.

He has delivered technical assistance and training to professionals in Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, and beyond. His expertise spans GHG accounting, energy efficiency, climate resilience, and environmental and social compliance. As a consultant, he has supported carbon market projects across forestry, energy, transport, and built environment sectors.

A strategic technical expert, he engages governments, investors, and industry leaders on the green building agenda, ESG standards and framework shaping national sustainability systems. Paul previously advanced EDGE adoption across 15 African countries through design audits and certifications.
