Dr. Frank Gyamfi-Yeboah
Senior Lecturer, Department of Land Economy, KNUST
Frank is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Land Economy, KNUST and served as the Head of Department between August 2018 and July 2020. He is also an adjunct lecturer at the Finance Department of the University of Ghana Business School where he teaches a course in real estate finance. He has, in the past, taught undergraduate and graduate level real estate and finance courses at the University of Florida and Georgia State University, both in the USA. His research interests include Mortgage Markets and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). He has published several articles in leading real estate and finance journals such as the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Property Research, Journal of International Money and Finance, Property Management etc.
Dr. Frank Gyamfi-Yeboah holds a doctorate degree in Real Estate from Georgia State University, USA, a master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from the University of Cambridge, England and a bachelor’s degree in Land Economy from KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana He is a Fellow of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and served on the Governing Council during the 2012/2013 session. He is a co-founder of Pacific Real Estate Advisors Ltd and currently serves as an Executive Director.
He has more than 20 years of professional experience and worked on several high profile and complex assignments for reputable organizations including the International Finance Corporation (IFC), UN-Habitat, Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd, National Homeownership Fund, Databank Financial Services, Gold Fields Ltd, Asante Gold Bibiani Ltd etc. These assignments include preparation of technical reports on Ghana’s housing sector and financing for resilient and green urban global solutions, feasibility studies on various commercial real estate projects, market study on a proposed diasporan mortgage fund, negotiation of compensation and resettlement of project affected persons among others. He was involved in the implementation of the Land Administration Project as a Focal Person at the Department of Land Economy and served as a member of the Multi-stakeholder Platform for the Transformative Land Investment project being promoted by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
